History Minor
Department: History
This minor is designed for students who wish to pursue a coherent and balanced study of history, with equal emphasis on United States, European, and Global history. Students will find the minor to be useful in preparing for graduate school; law school, business; civil service employment; or museum, library, or archive management. The minor requires 15 hours total, including at least 6 hours at the 300+ level. Requirements are distributed in the following manner:
- One U.S. history course, 200 or 300 level—3 hrs.
- One European history course, 200 or 300 level—3 hrs.
- One Global history course, 200 or 300 level—3 hrs.
- Two elective courses, 100 to 300 level —6 hrs.
Minor Requirements
Minimum of 15 hours in history and a GPA of no less than 2.0.
