CCET Global Scholars Program/Bradley University Coordinated Global Scholars Program
Becoming a Global Scholar at Bradley University allows you to develop global and cross-cultural expertise and marketable skills in your field that get you noticed. Just as important, you will have a sense of community as a global citizen, both within and across Bradley’s Colleges. Along the way, you will become a better collaborator and leader, and have many opportunities to hone your intercultural communication and interdisciplinary problem-solving skills.
Program benefits include: Global Scholars designation on your degree audit and notation on your official university transcript; recognition by the Dean of the College; opportunities to interact with guest speakers, Global Scholars from all other Colleges at the University, Bradley alumni, and international students; specialized career advice and Smith Career Center programming.
Students enrolled in the Foster College of Business have an opportunity to earn the designation of Global Scholar in recognition of achievement in global business studies. The FCB Global Scholars designation may be earned in conjunction with any degree and major within the Foster College of Business. Requirements of the Global Scholars Program do not necessarily add to total credits necessary for graduation.
Coursework for the Global Scholars Program has been designed to broaden student perspectives by providing enhanced preparation for careers in a global marketplace. Topics and issues taught on both the Bradley campus and in international environments will develop within students a capacity to assess international business opportunities and to understand business in the context of different cultures.
Global Scholars have the opportunity to study abroad as early as their sophomore year, and attend seminars with experienced international business leaders.

The following activities may replace 3 of the 12 Core GS hours, except for I B 206 Introduction to International Business:
- Participate in the NASBITE International Business Case Competition
- Pass the NASBITE CGBP exam
- Participate in an international internship earning at least 3 credit hours – may be concurrent with a study abroad

A second Bradley-approved study abroad of at least 3 hours of any discipline can be substituted for 3 of the above 6 BCC hours.
2. One globally focused 1-credit seminar, with an additional seminar recommended
The required globally focused seminar is I B 101 International Intellectual and Cultural Events.
If students take a second seminar, it should be from a College other than their home College.
Choose from: CFA 300 CFA International Option Seminar, EGT 301 CCET Global Scholars Seminar, EHS 300 Professionalism Across Cultures, LAS 125 Global Topics in Liberal Arts and Sciences + other seminars as approved by College Global Scholars Coordinator/Advisor.
3. Participation in an approved international cultural study-abroad experience
One Bradley-approved Study Abroad Program, earning at least 3 credit hours
4. Internationally-focused campus and community student engagement opportunities
Global Scholars are highly encouraged to take advantage of the many co-curricular opportunities available on campus relevant to the Program goals, for example:
- Seminars/presentations/lectures on global topics
- Participation in relevant student organizations, such as the Global Business Association and the many culturally-related organizations.
MINIMUM GPA: 2.5
