Creative Writing Minor
Department: English
The creative writing minor allows students to explore an array of published creative texts in regard to genre, purpose, and style and to discover their own creative voice as they craft original works of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. Courses offer the opportunity for students to practice poetry, fiction, nonfiction, screenwriting and/or literary criticism. The minor is often paired with degrees in game design, interactive media, psychology, marketing, theater, and advertising.
