Chemistry Concentration-High School (9-12) Education (LAS CHM HS-T)
Department: Chemistry and Biochemistry
This concentration is designed to provide graduates with the education and training to teach chemistry at the secondary school level (grades 9-12).
In addition, students also have a secondary major of High School Education (HSE) as part of their 120 semester- hour baccalaureate degree program, which includes completion of the required professional education and field/ clinical experiences, as well as the Illinois State Board of Education requirements.
All students must complete the Chemistry and Biochemistry Common Curriculum Requirements, Concentration Requirements, and education requirements mandated by the Illinois State Board of Education.
