The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers a Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences (SLHS), a minor in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, and a Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences Leveling Certificate. The program is designed to prepare students to pursue a graduate degree in speech- language pathology, audiology or related field. In addition, the undergraduate degree prepares students to work as a speech- language pathology assistant.

Program Mission

The Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences (SLHS) Program is committed to providing students with a comprehensive education in human communication and in the prevention, assessment, and treatment of communication disorders across the lifespan. The program provides undergraduate students with comprehensive pre-professional academic, observation, and clinical experiences required for entrance into a graduate program in speech-language pathology, audiology, or related field.
