The purpose of the graduate program is to educate the professional nurse for advanced nursing practice in hospitals, clinics, community health settings, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare-related agencies. The curriculum provides a foundation for further doctoral study.
Bradley University offers a variety of online graduate nursing programs including Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and Post- Master’s Certificate (PMC). Five specialty areas are available: Nursing and Healthcare Leadership, Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), and Adult- Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP). Graduate requirements for the MSN Program must be fulfilled within five years of enrollment while DNP Program requirements must be fulfilled within seven years of enrollment. The student must maintain an academic average of 3.0 (4.0 scale) to be in “good standing”. A grade of "B", or better, must be earned in all NUR courses and a “C”, or better, in all other coursework applied toward graduation requirements.
